Located centrally between the ancient cathedral and the historic Norman castle, the White Hart has been the focal point of this magnificent city since its origin in the 14th century. Now we offer our guests the very finest in cosy and comfortable accommodation, excellent food and friendly, courteous service.

There has been a town on the site of the City of Lincoln since a bronze age settlement in the 3rd century and it has both a wonderful Norman Castle and the magnificent 11th century Lincoln Cathedral. the home of 'Big Tom' - one of the largest bells in England and a rival for Big Ben. But don't worry, despite the fact that we are right next door the bells haven't kept our guests awake since the eighteenth century, when apparently a disgruntled guests came up with a mechanism to silence the bells, since then our guests have enjoyed a quiet, relaxing and refreshing nights sleep.
The original building took its name King Richard II who stayed here in 1372 and had the 'White Hart' as his insignia. With parts of the current building dating back to the 1400s the atmosphere is wonderfully warm and full of character and charm. With fifty superb single, twin and double rooms we have the ideal accommodation for the business and leisure traveller. All of our rooms are elegantly decorated and furnished, using the softest fabrics and harmonising colours to create a wonderfully soothing ambiance to help you unwind at the end of the day. If you're here for a special occasion, honeymoon, anniversary or perhaps just a romantic break away from the pressures and stresses of modern life, our magnificent four-poster room adds that little extra something to your stay. With a choice of dinning venues, our King Richard Restaurant providing a refined and elegant setting in which to enjoy the superb cuisine and fine wines, or our Orangery Brassiere where the ambiance is a little more relaxed but the food is still just as good.
