Completely refurbished in 2004 we have taken great care to improve and upgrade our magnificent hotel without detracting from the superb atmosphere of the original building. Built in the 15th century as a Coaching Inn, many thousands of people have, over the years, enjoyed excellent food and slept in the same rooms as our guests sleep in today. In a commanding position at the very heart of the beautiful city of Wells we have the ideal position for both the business user and the tourist.
We have 15 well proportioned, elegantly decorated and supremely comfortable twin and double rooms, each one with a very special charm and character all of its own. Brufani's is our elegant restaurant where a wide choice of dishes are available and a daily 'chef's specials' board offers tempting and tasty additions to the menu.
