All our ensuite rooms are tasteful in decor and in keeping the the age and times of our coaching inn. Dating back to the 17th century we have carefully kept original features and character in place. Situated in the old Roman settlement of the town the inn once served as a half way stop over for those travelling between London and the Great North Road.
