Our welcoming and friendly hotel was originally built in 1563 and is in the perfect location from which to enjoy the magnificent Suffolk countryside and the stunning, spectacular scenery of its coastline. From the moment you arrive and are welcomed by one of our courteous and helpful staff, you will know that you have made the right decision in your choice of accommodation. We offer 38 well proportioned, wonderfully comfortable twin and double rooms that have a high level of modern facilities, each room benefiting from elegant and stylish en-suite bathroom with bath or shower; hairdryer; alarm clock radio; colour TV with satellite channels; central heating; trouser press; smoke detectors; security chain and hospitality tray with tea, coffee and biscuits. And some rooms having a work area with desk, lamp, direct dial telephone and modem connection allowing you to connect to the internet.
Our restaurant, 1563 so named because of the year it was built, offers the finest cuisine that you will find in the area with its fine oak panelled walls and a roaring log fire in the winter, it offers an atmospheric setting for dinning on superb food. If you have any special dietary requirements we will be happy to cater for them, please inform us of any special requirements at the time of booking.

Overall: we were there to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time,from the time we arrived till we left,we were made to feel special,not only us but all the guest,it was sad to leave but we will be back in the not to distance future,special thanks to walter.
