Set in its own landscaped grounds, our luxurious country house offers superbly comfortable accommodation, a magnificent venue for a wedding, or a perfect venue for a conference or corporate event. Located on the outskirts of Leeds, a few miles from the city centre, we have the ideal setting for a weekend break or holiday exploring the area.

This magnificent building dates back to the the 1870s, and has all the splendour of a Victorian country house. Originally the home of a rich mill owner it has now been renovated, refurbished and improved to offer our guests the very finest in luxury accommodation. We are set in the outskirts of the City of Leeds, but we have a splendidly rural setting that offers peace and tranquillity for all our guests.
With 17 well proportioned, richly furnished and luxuriously comfortable rooms that have everything that you would expect from an establishment of this obviously superior quality.
With our three elegantly decorated, light and airy dinning rooms the dinning experience is as quintessentially English as it was when the house was first built; the dinning rooms retain their Victorian feel, and the food is the best of traditional and modern British food, but with a continental flavour that reflects cultural variety of the city.
Our superbly kept grounds could be the perfect location for your fairy tale wedding, we are licensed for Civil Marriage ceremonies and can host both your wedding and your reception, without the need for travel between the venues, with the added bonus of picturesque surroundings as a back drop for your photographs. With a team of helpful and experienced staff to assist in the organisation, all you have to do is enjoy your special day.
We also have a range of meeting and conference rooms that are ideal for confidential meetings or for corporate events, for larger events a marquee can be erected in the grounds.

Good stuff: The hotel itself was fantastic and the restaurant food was excellent.

Bad stuff: The staff in the restaurant at both the evening meal and at breakfast could have been a lot better.
