A truly inviting traditional country Inn, set in the small hamlet of Thunderbridge, four miles south of Huddersfield. We are in the centre of an area that is loved by walkers and ramblers, with many stunning and breathtaking views across the West Yorkshire countryside. We offer a warm welcome, excellent food and superbly comfortable accommodation.

If you are visiting the area for the magnificently beautiful countryside, or to visit the many attractions that the area has to offer or perhaps you have business in one of the towns that are easily reached from our location, we offer the perfect starting point for your excursions.
Set in the small and picturesque hamlet of Thunderbridge, we provide comfortable, spacious, elegantly decorated and comfortably furnished accommodation for our guests, with all rooms benefiting from en-suite bathroom, direct dial telephone, colour TV and tea/coffee making facilities.
There is a choice of bars where a splendid range of cask conditioned ales from some of the smaller local breweries, fine wines and a wide selection of spirits can be sampled. There are many exhilarating walks through the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, and numerous interesting and famous country houses to visit and, for those who like TV, Holmfirth, made famous in the 'Last of the Summer Wine' TV series is only a short drive away.

Good stuff: It was lovely & warm

Bad stuff: The shower could do to be a bit more powerful!!

Overall: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, particularly the peace & quiet of the surroundings, excellent food & friendly/welcoming staff. We will definitely be back.
