reconstructed roundhouses have not only taught many of this important era,
but also serve as a great family day out. Peterborough's four comprehensive
shopping centres have established it within the top 10 percent retail
destinations in the UK. Three of these: the Rivergate, Queensgate and
Serpentine centres are all within easy reach of main shopping streets, and
house everything from well known department stores to specialist boutiques.
That's not all there is to do in town however, and various theatres,
multi-screen cinemas, exotic restaurants, plus the Museum and Art Gallery,
are all on hand to keep you busy. Festivals dominate the cultural calendar
here, and whatever month you arrive in, you're likely to be in time for one

Advent Street Market in November; and the ever-popular Beer Festival, held
