Hotels Hereford England Cheap Hereford Hotels Guide

Welcome to Herefordshires namesake and county town, Hereford. The River Wye runs through the city and the majestic Hereford Cathedral can been seen from its banks. This cathedral was built between 1107 to 1158. Much of the original building still remains intact. The world famous Chained Library within contains the Hereford Gospels along with hundreds of other historic medieval manuscripts. This is definitely an attraction worth seeing in the city. In fact, it is quite difficult to miss it as it dominates the town centre. You may also want to explore the local museum and art gallery which is very close to the cathedral. While you are here you may also like to sample some local produce. The local tipple is of course Hereford Cider. Being in the heart of this apple growing region of England and the home of Bulmer's Cider, one would expect no less. An afternoon can be spent in the Cider Museum. Also if you are here in October the city has a splendid Cider Making Festival for all to enjoy. Should you choose to stay in here, there is a great selection of cheap hotels in Hereford for you to book.
