Our wonderful and historic establishment has been the focal point of the town of Stirling for over two hundred years. Ideally located in the centre of the town we are close to rail and bus stations and have ample free parking, perfect for both business and leisure travellers.

For visitors to this beautiful part of Scotland who want a convenient and comfortable base from which to explore the many delights that this region has to offer, but also want to be close to excellent shopping, restaurants and nightlife, we have the ideal place for you to stay. Occupying a prestigious location in the historic town of Stirling the Golden Lion was originally built in 1786 and has been a popular meeting place for local people for over two hundred years. It has retained many of its original features and now has a warm and welcoming atmosphere that has developed over a long and varied history with more than its fair share of romance and violence.
We have sixty seven single, twin, double and triple rooms, each one having its own distinct charm and character.
