Originally built in 1678, this magnificent Grade II listed Georgian House is set in 8 acres of magnificent grounds with fantastic views of the surrounding Warwickshire countryside. Our location ten minutes from Coventry and twenty minutes from Birmingham is ideal for those who are in the area on business or to visit the many beautiful and interesting places that are within easy reach.
We have 62 well proportioned, elegant and superbly comfortable rooms that are all individually decorated in rich, harmonising colours that produce a peaceful and calming ambiance, perfect when returning from a busy day working or travelling around the local attractions.
Most of the bedrooms are in the original house and boast many traditional features including period fireplaces, large sash-cord windows and have stunning views over the gardens and surrounding countryside. The most recent addition to the building is the Stopford Wing, bedrooms here are of executive standard with large well equipped work area and luxury bathrooms with both baths and separate walk in shower cubicles.
All of our bedrooms have elegant en-suite bathroom; direct dial telephones with modem points; a good working area; a hospitality tray (tea/coffee) and for the romantics amongst us some of our rooms have wonderful four poster beds.
Our 'Shilton Restaurant' is a just what you would expect in a traditional country house, with crisp white linen and shining real china crockery. While you dine you can enjoy delightful views of our beautiful gardens. On cold, winter evenings we draw the curtains, light the oil lamps and let you enjoy the cosy and romantic atmosphere as you dine on the excellent dishes prepared freshly for you by our talented and experienced Chef.
