Shakespeare's country and the town where he lived - his homes were Nash House on High Street and New Place where he lived with his family. The Royal Shakespeare Theatre sits opposite Bancroft Gardens which play host to open air entertainment during the summer months.

Walk along the streets - High Street and Sheep Street for shops, exclusive boutiques, fashion houses, jewellers, antiques, book stores, gifts, toys, chocolatiers and cheese mongers - there's something for everyone. Take a steam train ride or a boat up river for a relaxed day out.

Be sure to treat yourself to afternoon tea in one of the many delightful tea rooms and for something a little different why not hire a classic car and head off in to the Cotswolds. A short drive away you will find Oxford, Vale of Evesham and Warwick Castle - filled with historical artifacts, stories of highwaymen, the River and Island, Peacock Gardens, Victorian Rose Gardens and makes for a magical day out for families.

Good stuff: The room was clean. bedside light not working. Fantastic location with a lovely wsimming pool and decking area. Nice breakfast.

Bad stuff: Fans in the room so windows could be closed. The noise from the road was very annoying at times.

Overall: As I have said the noise from the main road was very annoying and difficult to sleep through. The rooms would benefit from fans during the summer so that the windows could be closed. Nice and clean. Good breakfsts. Fantastic location, 5 min walk for the river.
