Originally built in 1851 to cater for the travellers on the railway that was then being brought here, our superb establishment has been a famous landmark in the city for one hundred and fifty years. In 1854 it was the visited by Queen Victoria, who stayed here when she came to the city to open the Hull Paragon railway station, which is adjacent to the hotel. Full of authentic charm, character and history it is without doubt Hull's most historically significant Victorian building and retains much of the original architecture.
