Good stuff: Breakfast, and the bar overlooking the sea.

Bad stuff: No television reception in the room and lack of curtains!

Overall: This is the 3rd time we've stayed at The Burlington. It's one of our favourite hotels but this time we were disappointed with our room. There was absolutely no reception on the TV (which i see has been raised before by other people that have submitted reviews) and there were no curtains. There was a flimsy blind that did nothing to keep out the light when dawn broke at 4am! We'll definately stay again but not in room 308!

Good stuff: Modern with clean lines and exactly as shown one the hotel website. Right on the sea front and very close to town centre, restaurants and bars.

Bad stuff: There were no parking vouchers available when we checked in and this meant every 4 hrs we had to back back to put more money in the parking metre as there were no other parking facilities available. This was quite restricting

Overall: I had called the hotel directly to book a double room but was told there were no rooms available. However I then found I was able to book online for the date and room I had called about. It was clear we had been given a family room at the double room rate but I was not offered this on the phone. So the hotel could easily have lost our business if I hadn't tried booking online as I specifically liked the look of the Burlington. The hotel was nicely furbished and very modern with the added bonus of having a nightclub on site, which you could not hear from the room. Staff were very helpful, friendly and polite at all times. But lack of parking vouchers was an issue for us as was an added expense as well as a restriction for the amount of time we could spend away from the hotel leaving the car.
