We are located just five miles from the Robin Hood Airport and conveniently placed for Doncaster races and the many other attractions that this area has to offer. With an excellent location and an ethos of providing our guests with comfortable, stylish accommodation and modern facilities at a reasonable price.

Our location just a couple of minutes drive from the M18 and close to the increasingly popular Robin Hood airport makes us ideal as a base for travelling around this region. With the thriving town of Barnsley on your doorstep and other towns such as Doncaster, Rotherham, Worksop and Sheffield (to name but a few) just a short drive away there is no shortage of interesting places to visit.
We have 50 well proportioned and wonderfully comfortable twin and double rooms that are equipped with all of the facilities that you would expect from an establishment of this class, including stylish en-suite bathroom with bath or shower; central heating; windows that you can open; a convenient work area with desk and lamp, direct dial telephone and internet connection point; hairdryer; radio alarm clock; remote control colour TV; security chain on the front door; ground floor access and a hospitality tray with tea and coffee making facilities. We are a family friendly establishment with a child friendly attitude and we can provide cots, cribs, children's menu and high chairs on request.
We have our excellent 'Tipicall' French Bistro restaurant, where you can sit in cosy and informal surroundings to enjoy superb traditional English and International cuisine, including the famous 'Barnsley Chop'. Excellent food that continues the ethos of value for money that you will find throughout the hotel.

Good stuff: Comfortable bed

Bad stuff: Difficult to find, lack of signage,lack of lighting to entrance drive,poor breakfast, smoking in restaurant.

Overall: Did not appreciate the accommodation was chalet style with rooms opening outside. Cold and miserable when moving between room and Restaurant/Bar on a wet and windy winters night. Bathroom could have been cleaner.Stains on wall around WC. Mould around bath. Appreciate the eco benefits of external movement sensative lighting but unfortunately results in a welcome similar to a hotel in a Hitchcock film.

Good stuff: locality, close to where we wanted to be, good facilities in the surrounding area.

Bad stuff: could do with a general update / decorate, clean enough but looking shoddy in places.

Overall: thought it was expensive considering the state of the room, compared to other hotels in your group. Both bedroom and bathroom could do with updating and decorating. Adequate for overnight stay but would not stay again as there were cheaper / better condition lodges in the close vacinity. Staff on reception good and friendly, appear well informed.
