 The picturesque town of Bawtry is where the Great North Road enters Yorkshire, and is renown as the gateway to some of our country's most spectacular scenery. Our stylish and charming establishment has stood on the towns High Street since the 17th century and now provides travellers with modern, well equipped accommodation.
The Great North Road has been the main road north from London for hundreds of years and in the 17th century our magnificent building was constructed as a Coaching Inn, to provide a much needed stopping place for weary travellers where they could find good food and a comfortable bed for the night before continuing their journey. Today, over four hundred years later, we are still serving much the same purpose, except that today we provide our guests with the finest in luxurious accommodation, superb cuisine and excellent facilities in stylish surroundings. A pleasant and harmonious blend of traditional rustic appeal with contemporary and modern decoration that creates a calm and soothing atmosphere throughout.
