Set in a stunningly beautiful and tranquil location close to the popular port city of Liverpool, Leasowe Castle is now a wonderfully stylish and spectacularly beautiful hotel, but it has a long and varied history. It was built over four hundred years ago in 1592 for Ferdinand, who was then second in line to the English throne. The castle has magnificent views out across Liverpool Bay, but it was the views of Meols Sands and the horse racing that used to take place on it that persuaded the prince to build his home here.
The castle stands in six acres of its own superb grounds in a wonderfully peaceful and tranquil location. Inside the castle is full of original features that make it easy to imagine how life would have been in days gone by, although today our guests will find all of the modern facilities that is expected of an establishment of this quality.
