Dulverton itself is a peaceful place with a few shops and a charming bridge that crosses the River Barle - its a favourite spot for painters. Dulverton Guildhall Heritage and Arts Centre has some fine displays and is worth a visit.
Over the other side of the river you'll find Wimblehall Lake with large lake and leisure facilities that cater for children and families.
Exmouth is close by and has a glorious setting with some excellent shopping and leisure facilities. Beautiful sandy beaches and a mild climate most of the year. There's a cinema, plenty of high street shops where you can treat yourself to some retail therapy and indoor market with local produce and gifts.
Drive around and discover some of the other highlights including the towns and villages like Teignmouth, Dawlish and Torquay and take time out to treat yourself to that delicious afternoon tea!
