Gorgeous accommodation with a home from home feel, providing you with comfort and peace. We are delighted to receive all our guests with a warm welcome and a family based attitude. Comfort and all modern amenities including breakfast and the morning paper. Enjoy our gardens and in the summer time eat al fresco.

Providing a super base for those withing to stay in Bedford and discover the surrounding area. With easy and quick access in to London and just an hours drive from Oxford and Cambridge there are a host of choices.

Bedford itself isn't short of attractions with two theatres, six screen cinema and Bedford Corn Exchange where you can enjoy musical concerts - they also have a bust of Glenn Miller! Sights worth seeing are the Ceil Higgins Museum and Art Gallery which is next to Bedford Castle - lovely Victorian Mansion house filled with fine paintings, ceramics and glass work.

If you fancy some peaceful and easy shopping then visit The Harpur Centre where you will find 30 shops all under cover. There are markets by the River Great Ouse on Wednesday's and Saturdays and the Aspect Complex has a ten-pin bowling alley, laser activity centre and clubs, restaurants and a good social scene.

Close by sights include Wrest Park Gardens with their mixture of Chinese, Baroque and Classical themed gardens and water features, Woburn Abbey, Knebworth House and Whipsnade Zoo and the beautiful Althorp House - resting place of Diana, Princess of Wales.

Good stuff: Large bed, good drink making facilities. Excellent breakfast in very clean restaurant. Friendly and efficient staff. Parking space.

Bad stuff: Could not close and secure bathroom door. Could not get TV to operate. Ceiling showed signs of leakage from above.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: Hotel a little tired but good value for money and we would certainly stay there again. Best hotel breakfast for a very long time.

Good stuff: The size and comfort of the room was something we have paid a good deal more for in other hotels and it also included a very good breakfast, what more could you ask for Thanks for a very stress free evening.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: From the very first moment of talking to a member of the staff we knew that it was going to be a no problem stay, and it certainly proved to be true. In conclusion a big Thank you to all at the hotel for making us feel so welcome, if staying in Bedford again it will be the first place we will head for.Kind regards Ann & Graham.

Bad stuff: hotel run down and shoddy service.

Overall + Stuff we would like to have known: The web page for the Hotel looked ok but bore little resemblance to the reality. The biggest shock was the state of the staff toilets & shower which were visible as the doors were left open and they were in the main access corridor to the rooms. These were filthy and looked as they had not been cleaned for weeks.
