Wonderfully positioned in the small but picturesque town of Drymen our superb Victorian house offers guests a warm welcome and genuine Scottish hospitality. If you are planning a visit to Loch Lomond and the many attractions that surround it and you want comfortable accommodation with a friendly atmosphere, then we have the ideal place for you.
Once the 'Auld Doctor's Hoose' in the small village of Drymen, our wonderful establishment is now a welcoming and friendly bed and breakfast that is perfectly located for visitors who want to explore the many and varied attractions that this beautiful part of the country has to offer. Originally built in 1873 by the Duke of Montrose as an enticement to attract a doctor to live in the village and tend to the health of the locals. This it did and it was the home of several successive practitioners for the following 120 years.
The property has now been extensively restored and improved to turn it into the charming and welcoming establishment that you will find when you arrive. Family owned and operated, from the moment you arrive until you are waving goodbye at the end of your stay you can be sure that we will do all we can to make your stay with us a pleasant and memorable experience.
At the start of the day we serve a hearty breakfast that is guaranteed to set you up for the day walking the hills and valleys, fishing or visiting the many historic monuments such as the William Wallace monument and Stirling Castle in the town of Stirling, the majestic Loch Lomond with sailing and water sports or the City of Glasgow, which is less than an hour away.
