With just fourteen rooms the Continental is a small hotel, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in quality and style, with its own unique character it is without doubt the perfect place to stay for those who expect something more than just a comfortable bed from their choice of accommodation.
Set in the ideal location on the sea front, directly opposite the sea, where you can watch the many ships as they manoeuvre in and out of the harbour, or enjoy Harwich's clean and safe 'Blue Flag' beach. Just a short distance from the town centre, all of the many attractions of this lively town are within easy reach, an with a modern shopping centre, bars, clubs and restaurants there is plenty to keep everyone amused.
All of our fourteen well proportioned and stylish rooms are all totally different, each one has its own theme for furnishings and decoration. Some of our rooms are family rooms, tastefully decorated, well equipped and practical for up to five people. Some are romantic, with soft lights, soothing colours, magnificent four poster bed and jacuzzi whirlpool bath, while others are modern and vibrant with an explosion of colours. Whichever you choose it will be wonderfully comfortable and equipped with all you need for a relaxing break.
Our restaurant has a contemporary feel with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The food is superb and our menu changes weekly or even daily to reflect the availability of the ingredients, as our chef will use only the finest, freshest produce when creating the mouthwatering dishes that our guests enjoy.
