Victorian charm and style, dating back to the 1800's, we provide a comfortable and welcoming place to stay whilst you explore the possibilities in the seaside resort of Felixstowe. A family atmosphere with a warm and welcoming team of staff who will ensure you have a very jolly stay here.

Take a step back in time and feel the ambiance and magic of bygone days - days when our seaside resorts were the main destination to holiday in; days of bathing huts, the latest in bathing costumes and friends and families enjoying each other's company, building castles on the beaches and splashing in the sea. Fast forward to now - yes you can still have all of this and more.

Ice cream parlours, days of laughter and fun in a town filled with Victorian and Edwardian charm and architecture. There's plenty for all the family to do - amusements, bowling green and the Spa Pavilion Theatre that has a variety of shows on throughout the year - everything from ballet, musical recitals to pop and Jazz. In May the Theatre plays host to the Drama Festival.

Our beaches are shingle and sand and run for a 4 mile stretch - there's a modern paved promenade all the way along - simply stroll and top up on natures delights - the sky, sea and fresh air.

Energies need topping up regularly so be sure to stop for afternoon tea or that much needed coffee break in one of the many cafes or restaurants along the front.

Martello Towers were were built to prevent the invasion of Napoleon and still stand today so remember the protection they brought and have a photo or two taken.

Good stuff: The first room I was given had a terrible musty smell and an uncomfortable bed, I informed the receptionist and she offered air freshner, however she then offered me another room which I accepted, the new room smelled much nicer with a more comfortable bed.

Bad stuff: The receptionist could smile, guests should be aware of smoking policies, the hotel had a bit of a musty smell which I suspect may have been from smoking, a smoking ban might be a good idea.

Overall: the receptionist was efficient, the room I was given (126)although tidy, smelled musty, I suspect the room was smoked in frequently as there was an ashtray present. I informed reception who gave me another room, this room was very nice and clean with a comfortable bed, I had a very restful nights sleep, I only wish I had been given this room first! the breakfast staff were very freindly and the service was good. I would recommend this hotel but advise, be specific about getting a non smoking room.
