This wonderful historic building is a seaside haven for you to enjoy. Small and comfortable you will get a memorable experience staying here. You can enjoy the nice bar and restaurant on offer here as well. All set in the lovely town of Harwich for your pleasure.

Our superb building was built as a private residence in 1885 and its design was inspired by the great houses of the Italian aristocracy. It is full of magnificent detail with impressive ornamental ceilings, exquisite architraves and superbly rich balustrades, but perhaps its crowning glory is the magnificent tower at its north east corner, that sets it apart from other houses of its time and is of course from where it name came.

With only fourteen wonderfully individual rooms the atmosphere is cosy and welcoming, with all of our guests receiving a high level of attentive, yet discrete and unobtrusive service from our team of professional, dedicated staff. From the moment you arrive you can let us take care of the detail, leaving you free to enjoy your stay, whether you are here on business, to tour the many attractions or to just relax, unwind and recover from the pressures of modern life.

Our lounge bar is comfortable, with a friendly and convivial atmosphere, the ideal place to chat with friends or unwind with your favourite tipple from the bar. The restaurant is renown for the consistent quality of its dishes and serves a wide range of traditional English and International cuisine, Popular with guests and locals it is recommended that you book your table in advance.

The actual town of Harwich is really a marvelous, historic harbour community. Ships have sailed into and away from its safe anchorage since way back when . It is very rich in maritime history. The town itself is full of fabulous historic buildings with many of them open to the public. One such is the birthplace and home of the Captain of the Mayflower, the ship that left Plymouth in the 1620s carrying the Pilgrim Fathers to their new life in North America.
