Ipswich has been an important and thriving town in the area for around thirteen hundred years since its beginnings as a safe and convenient harbour for local shipping. Over the centuries it became the main port for many industries, with ships and goods arriving from all over the world. Since the 16th century our superb establishment has stood in the centre of this town, it has seen many changes to this historic port as it has provided food and shelter for visitors.
Our hotel is full of charm and character that creates a superb atmosphere and makes a cosy and welcoming place to stay. We now have 22 wonderfully well proportioned, individually decorated and splendidly comfortable single, twin and double rooms, that are steeped in history and each has its own unique character.
