Situated in the heart of Wiltshire, on the outskirts of the town on Malmesbury we are superbly located for excursions to all the local places of interest. Our privately owned establishment has been extensively refurbished and provides the highest standard of accommodation and service, while preserving many of the original period features of this delightful house.
Malmesbury is the oldest the oldest borough in England. Its links to royalty go back to AD925 when the first King of England, King Athelstan, made it his capital. Since then many renown people have lived, or where born in the area and today Prince Charles lives in near by Highgrove House and Princess Anne at Gatcombe Park.
Now this imposing building is privately owned and has been stylishly refurbished to a high standard and provides superb quality accommodation for travellers to the area. All of the rooms are light, airy and decorated in an elegant style that retains the ambiance of the period. A pleasant mix of olde-worlde charm and modern convenience you will find everything that you expect from a hotel of this superior quality. All our single, twin and double rooms have colour TV, tea/coffee making and en-suite bathroom facilities. The recent addition of a heated swimming pool has been extremely popular with our guests.
Our location in the outskirts of Malmesbury, with the natural beauty of the Cotswolds on our door step and many spectacular places of interest, including Castle Coombe, a beautiful grade 1 listed village; the historic city of Bath; Westonbirt Arboretum, one of the finest in England and Avebury Stone Circle, an impressive ancient stone circle on a par with Stonehenge, are within easy travelling distance.
