Originally built in the 18th century as a town house our attractive and friendly establishment has been a focal point in the town for almost two hundred years. Many changes to the building have occurred in this time, but the original character and charm, enhanced by two hundred years of history, romance and drama, is still here. In winter you can sit beside real log fires that burn in fireplaces that have warmed generations of guests before you.
All of our 12 well proportioned twin and double rooms have been elegantly decorated and furnished with warm fabrics and wonderfully comfortable furniture creating a soothing and tranquil ambiance, ideal to return to at the end of a long and tiring day. As well as our splendid rooms we also have 3 superb cottages for those who prefer a home from home to a hotel room.
