This imposing Victorian house sits on the edge of Salisbury plain, with the world famous ancient monument of Stonehenge just a few minutes away. Set in an acre of delightful gardens, we are wonderfully situated as a base for visiting the many historic sights and places of interest that this area has to offer.
Standing in the conservation village of Littleton Panell, this imposing Victorian building was built around 1850 as a house for the estate manager of the near by Manor house. Its location on the edge of Salisbury Plain make it probably the closest bed and breakfast establishment to the world famous Stonehenge and the perfect base from which to explore the many and varied sights that the area has to offer. Stonehenge is probably the most famous attraction in England (some may say in the world), but there are other just as fascinating places to visit. Salisbury, with its Cathedral that boast the tallest spire in the country, Old Sarum and Wilton (house and carpet factory); The historic City of Bath, this Georgian city is considered one of the most beautiful that England has to offer; and Avebury, Britain's premier prehistoric city and world heritage site, with its own circle of standing stones that rival even Stonehenge, plus Silbury Hill and West Kennet Long Barrow.
The accommodation consists of four good sized bedrooms, all pleasantly decorated and with en-suite facilities. On the first floor there is an unusual conservatory that nestles between the eaves at the front of the building.
