Hotels Cornwall England Cheap Cornwall Hotels

Largely unpopulated and unspoilt, Cornwall is the perfect British rural getaway. A land of myths and legends, sprawling granite moors, sub-tropical beaches and the longest stretch of coastline in Britain. It's easily one of the most diverse counties in England, a practical world unto itself. Visit the remains of King Arthur's castle at Tintagel, or the magical island house of Saint Michael's Mount near Marazion. Travel to both England's southern and westernmost tips at Lizard Point and Land's End respectively. Discover ancient stone monuments dotted around various "Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty". Each and every town here is a practical gift to visitors. St Ives, with its own Tate Museum, is the artistic centre of the south west; county capital Truro (Cornwall's only city), has an amazing cathedral; Bude is famed for its many sandy beaches and Penzance for its mild climate and continental feel. The Eden Project, near the coastal town of St Austell, has become one of the most visited attractions in the country. A cutting edge botanical garden housed within giant bio domes, it features replicated landscapes of plant and animal life from all corners of the world. More natural flora (and indeed fauna) can be found further inland, on both Bodmin Moor and at Penwith. As well as offering epic walking opportunities, there're dozens of ancient monuments and sights to be found. These include the Merry Maidens, a Bronze Age stone circle, which (according to legend) are 19 girls turned to stone for dancing on a Sunday; and Dozmary Pool, where it's said Sir Bedivere threw the sword of Excalibur to The Lady of the Lake. Now you know where you are we bring you our selection of cheap hotels in Cornwall to reserve online.

Ooooo Arrrrr as the locals say! Cornwall, on the south western peninsula of the British mainland one of the sunnier regions of England. And yes ... to our foreign travelers although we always complain about the weather in Britain, Cornwall can be a haven and parts of it are sometimes refereed to as the British Riviera. Though to be honest this description is best taken with a pinch of salt. Also known for the cider brewed here a local you can often savour this in a local pub but make sure it is a small one if you haven't had it before, it can hit you like a sledgehammer if you are not used to the apple tipple.

Cornwall Information The official county council of Cornwall website with information pertaining to both visitors and people living locally | Cornwall Tourism If you need to know what to do and what there is to see this is the place. Although offical tourist boards are usually corrupted by menbership schemes in todays world it still is worth a quick look.
