Well ... how to describe this city of the university. The term surreal springs to mind. Stopping along and one of the pleasantly tree lined main streets in the town centre one could be forgiven for thinking the staff and all passers by are from another world. Watch out for the rabbits and characters that adjourn some of the cafe walls, as Louise Carrol is one of the many celebrated old boys from here. A tour bus is worth the time while you are here, as entry, to many of the university's colleges, is by student or professional invitation only. I must say is a pity as some of the things I was shown while here with my friend Mathew, from Queens College, were rather magnificent. Having said that there is still plenty to see such as then Bridge of Sighs and the museum of Oxford which is located near the splendid Carfax Tower.
